Lucy and Bob Hope was the 154th overall episode of I Love Lucy, also the premiere episode of season 6, the final season of the series. The episode was directed by James V. Kern, originally aired on CBS-TV on October 1, 1956.
Synopsis
Sighting Bob Hope at Yankee Stadium, Lucy hopes to persuade him to appear at Ricky's club. To get close enough to him, she disguises herself first as a hot-dog vendor, then as a tobacco-chewing umpire.
Plot summary
Not knowing Ricky already has booked Bob Hope for the club, Lucy tries to get Bob Hope for her husband, dressing ridiculously like a hot dog vendor and a baseball player in the process! At the end, Lucy, Ricky, and Bob Hope all sing "Nobody Likes the Ump."
