Jack Aldworth (born May 13, 1915 - died August 25, 1993) served as an assistant director of 51 episodes of I Love Lucy (for which he also co-produced 23) and also for 2 episodes of The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour (he also co-produced all 13 which aired).


Over the course of his long career in TV and film, which began with the 1948 film Julia Misbehaves, which co-starred Greer Garson, Walter Pidgeon and Peter Lawford, Jack was involved with many TV shows, either as a producer, production assistant, or director, which included such popular series as The Jimmy Durante Show, The Lucy Show, Westinghouse Desilu Playhouse, Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color, 12 O'Clock High, The Lucy Show, The Jack Benny Programand Lou Grant. His involvement in cinema included jobs as a script supervisor for such popular films as Annie Get Your Gun and Father of the Bride (1950), The Red Badge of Courage (1951), and Singin in the Rain (1952), early in his career; later works would the 1974 film adaptation of the long-running musical Mame, which Lucille Ball co-starred in with Beatrice Arthur of Maude and The Golden Girls TV series fame, and Seems Like Old Times, which co-starred Chevy Chase and Goldie Hawn. Aldworth died in Los Angeles.
